I am applying to the Northern Ontario School of Medicine because I want to pursue a career in medicine wherein I use my position as a healthcare leader to advocate for marginalized and underrepresented communities locally and globally. I think that the Northern Ontario School of Medicine curriculum does a great to encourage student involvement in underrepresented communities in the healthcare field. Helping marginalized communities is very important to me morally, and because of my background. My grandparents fled our home country when war broke out. They left behind everything they knew, and had to start a new life enduring unimaginable difficulty.
I wanted to return back to school after finishing my 7 years (from 2002 to 2009) of military service as airborne special operations unit in seeking to pursue new career and education path. My first choice of major when I started my enrollment with Kaplan University was Psychology Applied Behavioral Analysis as I thought about becoming a counselor at one point. During my college years and in between work and personal life, I have taken some time to do volunteer services with various nonprofits and charities. My primary job at the time was government and legal work for the state and the judicial system of 4 years. By taking on such volunteer services through nonprofits and charities, I had develop broad knowledge and skills in conjunction with what I’ve learned in my military service.
In the short term, I would like to complete my classes and become an LAPC. I plan on continuing to work in mental health for either a private or public mental health agency and earning my LPC. I would like to continue to work with the current population that I am involved with which are families who are economically underserved . I am applying to this specific program because it has come highly recommended to me by multiple clinicians that I have worked with as a program that would appropriately prepare me for the work I want to do. There are a multitude of reasons why I am attracted to this program including the evening classes, that it focuses specifically on community counseling, and that it has come highly recommended.

Personal Statement What are your professional goals and how might the UW-Madison MSW Program best provide the knowledge, skills, and practice necessary for meeting those goals? My future plans include going off to Utica College for nursing. I have known my major since I was five years old and my education that has been provided has only encouraged my decision. Even though I am going off into the medical field, my time spent playing sports, being in the drama club, national honors society, and participating in community has actually influenced my decision to do so. The mission statement to be educationally affective and academically effective has been shown through and through here at Little

During my search to better my experience in the social service field, I was told about an opening position for Student Success Coaching at HPHS. Since working with youth in the social services industry is exactly where I see myself in the future, this position is very enticing and fits perfectly with my skill set. I am very passionate about working with the youth that needs more attention than others, since I was a foster child myself. I can relate how it is to be misunderstood in and out of school. Though I don’t have any formal experience on my resume, I am looking for that first opportunity to dive in and do what I love while I continue to study at Eastern Connecticut State University.
I began my undergraduate education at Colorado State University in 2004. I declared my major as Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. At this point in my life, I had no clue what I wanted to do for my career and thought this would be the best option and give me the most diversity of career options. Going into my sophomore year, I began a job in the emergency department at the hospital located in the college town. During my first day, I got to see a variety of emergent and non-emergent medical procedures.
The myth of a doppelgänger is prominent in both Frankenstein and The Picture of Dorian Gray being seen in gothic literature across time. The phenomenon of being in two places at once goes against the natural order, and thus we see how hubris is linked to the idea of a doppelgänger in the defiance of God leading to death. A doppelgänger is viewed as an omen. Seeing one’s own doppelgänger is an indication of imminent death.
