Throughout this course, we have been studying the various books of The Holy Bible that apply to our daily lives as researchers. Some of these books included Proverbs, Job, Ephesians, and Philippians. It is important that we use our faith in God’s word to help guide us in all that we do each day including working as a researcher. These books help us understand that if we give our faith and trust in God that he will continue to guide us in the right directions as researchers by being honest, avoid basis practices, and having compassion and understanding for participants.

One of these is ethics. Proverbs 21:3 really sums ethics up by saying “ To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice”. It is important to always try to do what is right not just because it is right to do so but because the wellbeing of others is in our hands. Our teacher in the hall pointed out a study on immunization and that it caused autism. This study was proven to be false. God’s word tells us that we must have compassion for our fellow man. In Proverbs 25: 21 for example, God emphasizes that if our enemy needs food to give it and if they need water to give it to them because it is what God has taught us to do in caring about each other. Proverbs 14:1-35, “ we discussed that “hard work helps us the profit”. We must continuously work hard so that there is a long-term profit as God has told us to do. The long-term profit that God refers to is family, kids, and helping others as well as eternal life with him. As researchers, we need to work hard to solve problems and answer questions to help others live prosperous lives. God goes on to teach us that it is important that we realize that he is everywhere and it is not our prerogative to judge others that it is only his place judgment on others.
