Fascism Caused the Holocaust “It is a shameful spectacle to see how the whole democratic world is oozing sympathy for the poor tormented Jewish people,” said Hitler. “We must once and for all get rid of the opinion that the Jewish race was only created by God for the purpose of being in a certain percentage a parasite living on the body and the productive work of other nations,” said Hitler. Great Britain and France declared war on Germany. Though the holocaust started years before that. The holocaust began in 1933, some say it was sooner and others say it was later.

Though some people may say it was scapegoating or social Darwinism, it began with fascism. Hitlers fascist ideology was the main cause of the holocaust. Hitlers ideals put into citizens brains caused the holocaust. The ideals not only amplified a hatred of Jewish people but caused it to escalate to a mass genocide. The holocaust could have been prevented or at least mitigated it to an extent. From the beginning of his rise to power, Hitler preached getting rid of the Jewish population from everywhere, especially Germany.
