Although a lot of people experienced economic growth, some did not share it. Farmers, railroaders, and textile factories did not share this. The 20’s were called the “roaring twenties”, because there were several societal changes occurring. New styles, habits, ways of thinking, and most importantly, the new opportunities for women. Thanks to the flappers, a group of women wanting equality, women were able to vote, work outside the home, and run for political office.
