Romeo and Juliet was written by William Shakespeare, and the tragedy of this story was magnificent in the play in which Iambic pentameter was used almost the whole book. William Shakespeare was born in England in 1564 and was part of the acting group The King's Men. Shakespeare wrote plays like MacBeth and Hamlet. In the first few lines of the play it states “A pair of star-crossed lovers take their lives...The fearful passage to their death-marked love.”(prologue 5-8) This quote heavily foreshadows the rest of the book and how the book will pan out. Then Romeo killed Paris in the tomb of the capulets because he wanted to get revenge on Romeo for killing his “new spouse’s”cousin in law. They were all accidents especially Paris because it was so dark and he charged at him. It was a complete accident when Romeo and Juliet are getting married because they only saw each other once and without the invitation they wouldn't be married. When Romeo finds out that Juliet is “dead” he finds a poor apothecary and buys poison from him to end up killing himself later in the play. Willfulness was also a reason why Romeo and Juliet came through as it did. Romeo’s willfulness to die for his love Juliet was a very crucial part in the play as then Juliet wouldn't have killed herself and end the story with both families at greif at the end of the novel. Romeo climbing over the wall after the Capulet ball and confessing his love to Juliet was out of pure will To an extend them kissing at the Capulet ball was willfulness especially after a romantic
