Feudalism did explain the later success of Western and Japanese societies. The successful item was the development of a more stable and centralized government called feudalism by elite military virtues. Feudalism also has less positive aspects of western European and Japanese by the development of imperialist expansion and that they frequently resorted to war to solve conflicts with foreign power. The successful thing that still affects political life and institutions in both the West and Japan is the idea of personal ties between leaders or among elite groups as a foundation for political activity. Feudalism shows that claims of central authorities are not matched by effective power. Regional leaders will take over by having armies of their own and do much of the effective administration of their localities. Also, kings have to make deals with other leaders that they must be reliant on personal negotiation and pledges of mutual respect, marriage alliances, negotiation, and a willingness to give the local princes free rein in practice. China or Arab might be skeptical since they always wanted to unify the nation rather than dividing it. By having it run by independent lords, feudalism would cause peasants to revolt since peasants would be forced to protect their lord and cause a gap between rich and poor which then lead to unrest. Feudalism also would fail to maintain order when nomads invaded since peasants are revolting, there is social unrest and there is no protection for the lord. Lastly, it gave all kings power, which created an oppressive system which lower class citizens did not
