When we're sick we do things we wouldn't normally do. We're not ourselves; some part of us has changed, though we may never notice it. The room spins and lands us face down on the floor, confused and muddled, we try to pick up the pieces of who we were. But it's too late, fever has already set in. Written and directed by Logan George & Celine Held, Fever, recounts the lives of four young people whom unknowingly will come face to face with a fever. "Fever" being a choice, a split second decision, a do or don't. The fever results in them succumbing to their most basic instincts. Based on true stories, the film explores our inner most thoughts, and desires, relaying them on screen. The characters in the film are diverse and each captures a different type of instinct influenced by the fever. In order of appearance, Kuro, the choir boy, Nora, and Maheen start to go about their days, unknowing of the events that are soon to come. A young man, no more than twenty years old, lives at home with his mother and works as a delivery driver at night. His room is painted with the cut outs of magazines and anime characters. He is a shut-in and the audience can tell he has little experience with women. Reluctant to begin his shift at work, he spends most of his time on his phone. That is until a special order is placed by a certain girl. While his fellow employees tease him about the woman, he plays along willingly.
