“FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.” These words from the FFA motto, is what this great program is all about. I have been involved with this great organization ever since I was in 7th grade and since then, FFA has made a positive impact on my life. FFA stands for “Future Farmers of America”, it is for students that want to be involved in agriculture, and leadership. This great organization is based on agricultural education that provides life-changing experiences for its members. The opportunities that are offered are endless. Anything you can think of, to a certain extent has something involved with this great organization. It’s open to middle, and high school students, as well if involved can be college students. This program is not just for a bunch of farm guys that wear cowboy boats, its relatable for students that live in town, and don’t have livestock or crops as well. FFA.Org tells us “Through student involvement in the SAE program, students are able to consider multiple careers and occupations, learn expected workplace behavior, develop specific skills within an industry, and are given opportunities to apply academic and occupational skills in the workplace or a simulated workplace environment. Through these strategies, students learn how to apply what they are learning in the classroom as they prepare to transition into the world of college and career opportunities.” My personal SAE, is sheep production, I have my own sheep operation, that I take care of and pay for myself.
