The Fidelity Select Energy Portfolio (“FSENX”) is a mutual fund created in 1981 that is supported and managed by Fidelity Investments. The fund invests primarily in companies in the energy sector, including oil, gas, electricity, nuclear, coal and renewable energy, such as geothermal and solar power. As of early March 2016, about half of the company’s assets are focused on oil and gas [exploration and production] (E&P). The fund is invested in 74 countries, but 91.34% of the company’s holdings are domestic.
