JILLIAN, 8, is scared of what her mind can create once the room gets dark – she sees visions of Vengeance and tries to sleep in her parent’s bedroom. However, after sleeping in their bedroom for too many nights in a row Jillian is forced to sleep in her bed by herself.

NICK, 16, Jillian’s brother, is a typical baseball jock who is into himself. He has a large group of friends and is the star of the baseball team. He loves to watch scary movies, which Jillian watches with him.

CAROLYN, 49, wife and mother of Jillian and Nick. She is a nice mother who cares for her children, however after having Jillian sleep in her bed too many times, her sex life with her husband declines. Carolyn notices that Luster is working more often and for longer hours, she gets suspicious but does not investigate any further. Carolyn tries to keep the peace between Jillian and Luster but sometimes it gets too out of control. Carolyn is an obedient and timid housewife who won’t stand up for herself and is a horrible chef.

LUSTER, 56, husband and father. He is a workaholic who has a temper tantrum. He lashes out on the ladies in his house (Carolyn and Jillian). The next day, everyone gathers at the house. Aubrie can’t take it any more hearing about Jillian, so she runs upstairs. She spots Nick in Jillian’s room. They talk about Jillian and Nick asks her to help him find out who killed his sister. She declines then leaves the house. That night, at the dinner table Carolyn brings up a marriage counselor and how she scheduled an appointment for tomorrow. Luster freaks out and says how much will this cost?
