My final project was based around the misguided stereotype that all Muslims are terrorists. I offered this topic as our final project to my cohorts, which they proudly accepted. I feel we did a good job with the video even though we had limited time and resources. Our project helps prove that we have used ideal critical thinking and problem solving skills, ideal research and information fluency skills, ideal communication and collaboration skills, and ideal creativity and innovation skills. During the presentation by Mary and Gary, we were instructed on how to use these properly. I found all the videos on youtube under a creative commons license, the pictures on flickr under the license, and the audio on soundcloud under the license as well. When finding articles and video sources that were both useful and credible, we had to use a database. We made sure the authors were also credible and had experience in the field. All the information and resources were gathered in order to attempt to accomplish our goal, which was to inform people that the stereotype that all Muslims are terrorists is very harmful and it’s not right to make a negative assumption on an entire population just because certain people that share the same beliefs do terrible
