Florida Scene was created by Moran Thomas in 1877. It was created after Thomas Moran went with his wife to Fort George Island, Florida, and made some studies of the trees and beaches. Thomas Moran created this artwork directly influenced by nature. He mainly used organic shapes to create this work of art. The landscape in the south has irregular or rounded forms which can be seen in the vegetation, ocean, and sky. There are few trees that have long and curving branches. Below these trees, numerous green, around shrubs and wildflowers can be seen. The focal point of the art is the palm tree in the center where the primary focus of attention goes. A variety of organic shapes can be seen in objects, such as trees, ocean, and sky. These objects belong to one another. There is a repetition of visual elements. Round organic shapes can be seen throughout the work. These natural elements combined demonstrate nature form a balanced whole. The trees, ocean, and cloudy sky are important elements because they truly define the landscape of Florida. Dark green and low-lying shrubs can be found all the way from the left side to the right. Variety is shown by the various species of vegetation, such as palm trees, weeds, shrubs, and flowers. People are uniquely individual in this work. Each of them walks their own way and wear different clothes. Moran created asymmetrical balance. In this work of art, the left and right sides are different. The colors used in the artwork are mostly comprised of cool colors, such as green vegetation and blue ocean and sky. The color scheme is analogous because the art includes variation in the color between hues adjacent to one another in the color wheel, such us yellow-green, green and blue-green. The clouds are naturally white and add quality to the work, and they are an area of lesser interest and lack intense color and detail. The objects in the background of the artwork lack the color intensity of figures in front. There is less contrast between light and dark. In addition, this artwork has a variety of lines.
