Did you know that when exercising, the human loses more water than during normal activity through sweat? When this happens the water must be replaced in order to maintain the body’s health. Fluid replacement is very important when it comes to exercising. In source B, it states how the hotter the temperature and the more intense the exercise, the more water is lost. Like stated in Source B, “The human body uses water to regulate body temperature, transport oxygen and nutrients and dispose of waste.” The body should always be kept hydrated because it prevents cramps, dizziness, fatigue, or any other more serious problem. Sports drinks include electrolytes and carbohydrates. Electrolytes help regulate nerves and muscles and carbohydrates offer the body energy by restoring the body’s glycogen levels. Also, if you are a heavy sweater, sports drinks is a good option.
It is best to drink water before starting an exercise because it helps to maintain hydration and allow for better circulation of oxygen and nutrients. It 's always good to drink water before you get thirsty to make sure you are always hydrated. Water is a calorie and sugar-free option. It is also a great hydration option for after an exercise as it is easily absorbed by the body without filtration. In conclusion, it will be a great choice to have a little of both water and sports drinks during an exercise and it also always depends on the individual and their body
