Focusing on ADHD

ADHD, otherwise known as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, is a widespread diagnosis you can have. I have ADHD, which is a large part of my life; being unable to focus without taking my medication worsens it. Yet medication may help me with my diagnosis; it affects me in a way that will help me. It makes me feel like I'm being punched and kicked in the stomach when using it. I will thoroughly analyze this, including cures, medication, and symptoms people can have while having attention deficit disorder.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a disorder that prevents you from focusing and makes you hyper.” (CDCP) This is …show more content…

When I interviewed him, he said,” I can't focus at all, it makes everything so much harder to do.” He states ADHD is a significant impact on everything. When asked to do something, he will usually procrastinate and wait until the last minute to do the task. I understand it makes everyday life so much more complicated, and I can relate. When I asked him if he did not have many tools, he said, “ I have some help in learning, like some little things; during star tests, I will be in a different room and get a calculator to help me focus.” This information helped me understand others' views on the condition. While there is no known cure for ADHD, many tools will assist in the symptoms, which will help with the quality of life for people with the condition. With the state, people who have it can learn to control their symptoms and make life easier and better, while you can go to counseling and use medication. While the knowledge of ADHD increases, people can try to create better drugs and assist those suffering from the condition.
