Forrest Gump: The epic
Are all epic films superhero movies such as Batman? No, even though some might think epic films are only movies such as those created by Marvel or DC, they are wrong. Forrest Gump, though seemingly a special but simple man, though he may not be superman, is still an epic hero. He, and the movie, have all of the aspects to qualify as an epic. The film Forrest Gump proves that not all superheroes wear capes through the main character, Forrest, being developmentally delayed and able to accomplish great challenges throughout his life. He even became a realistic epic hero.

Forrest Gump exemplifies many qualities of an epic film such as being a so-called “larger than life” hero. For example, not only did he inspire the king himself, Elvis Presley’s dance moves, but he also earned presidential recognition on more than one occasion for things such as football and military honors for serving in the army -which he joined for the benefit of the country, not himself.
