Human Consciousness
Human consciousness is generally termed as the awareness of an individual of their own thoughts, memories, feelings, sensations and environment which keep on varying from time to time. This makes the individual’s experience fairly familiar and mysterious aspect of their lives.
Consciousness also refers to the sharing of knowledge with oneself about something which has been already experienced. It may also come from the experiences and warnings given by others. In other words, it is the way in which an object is seen or perceived.
The Term 'consciousness ' is widely used under the following four main topics:
1. Knowledge (to act from earlier experiences)
2. Intention (the state of mind in which it is directed to some particular thing, object or state of affairs and events.)
3. Introspection (and the knowledge it specifically generates)
4. Phenomenal experience

Relationship between conscious and unconscious experiences
Conscious experiences are those which make us work in the similar way as done previously whereas, unconscious experiences are those which do not require a thought. An instance for unconscious experience would be breathing and maintaining a regular heartbeat. …show more content…

This requires planning of different scenarios for the machine to make it work wisely under those cases for which it is actually brought into existence. Planning also needs comparing of the perfect possible case for the machine in different conditions to perform its functions wisely.
There are different types of applications of machine learning:-
1. Playing games
2. Speech recognition
3. Translation
From the above citations of differences between human consciousness and artificial intelligence, the sole question that arises in one’s mind is: Are artificially intelligent machines conscious?
While the answer still remains ambiguous, scientists are constantly working on to form a definite conclusion. This has been well portrayed in the movie ‘Transcendence’ when a human asks an artificially intelligent machine (PINN): “Can you prove that you are self-aware?”
