Shelly uses the words “wild” and “broken” to describe the feelings of the creature following the horrifying meeting with Felix, Safie, and Agatha. These words convey the rejection the creature is faced with, giving a sense of lost hope. The encounter with the cottagers doesn’t go the way the creature planned, which enrages the creature sending him in rampage of destruction.
