Bullying and prejudice are just ways that people are targeted and how the bullies are just taking their anger or trauma out on other people. Its whole purpose is to bring the victims down, and it has been brought up to children since they were little. Bullying is present in human society because it happens everywhere, whether it is minor or major, it still has a big impact on how it shapes human lives. People tend to lean on others and make bullying a norm that can harm others in the future. This social issue has been in the news and a topic for many years. In this social issue, it is known that humans go through bullying and it is shown everywhere, especially in literature. Three students were shot Tuesday morning by a 12-year-old boy. 2 girls were seriously injured and 1 boy was killed. This student claims that his reason for starting his shooting was because he was being bullied and this was confirmed by police during investigations (“Finnish school shooter had been ‘victim of bullying”). This little boy is a victim of bullying and we see how his peers affect him. It gets to his head, causing him to get out of control. This leaves others hurt that had nothing to do with him, as he was the initial victim, they were in the way of it all. Throughout the novel Frankenstein, the creature is constantly going through many different struggles, and his downfall is shown throughout the novel by the way this is all affecting him. With all of this he says, “A strange multiplicity of sensations seized me.Darkness then came over me and troubled me”(Shelly, Mary).
