There are multiple themes in the book Frankenstein by Gris Grimly, but I think one of the most important themes would have to be revenge. I will be explaining many of the ways they got revenge on the monster or the monster Victor. The other paragraph will be about what they have learned from each other's revenge. I like the idea of revenge and the way they do revenge on each other. That is why I chose revenge for my thesis. Here are some ways that the monster got revenge on Victor. At the very beginning of the story, when Victor first creates the wretch he regrets making him. The monster first got mad at Victor or revenge when Victor did not accept the wretch into society. So, this causes the monster to go around torturing Victor's family and killing his brother Henry. On page (58) “I come to visit the place where William is because he has been murdered.” Victor immediately knows it's the monster and starts to plot his revenge. The last way the monster gets revenge on Victor is when he kills all of Victor's loved ones and also follows him around doing different things. We see this on, page (150) “I enter the room where Henry’s lifeless body lies. Have my murderous Michael also taken you of your life Henry.” This makes Victor very terrible sad and upset when the monster also follows Victor all the way to England just messing with him and leaving him petrified.
