Throughout the course of the play Romeo and Juliet, it can be assumed that many different characters in the play may, or may not have been responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet but, evidence and proof shows that the deaths of Romeo and Juliet were the cause of the feuding families, Capulets and Montagues. No one knows why the two families were feuding. If the two families got along, Romeo and Juliet would have never died. Had the died not existed between the families, Romeo and Juliet wouldn't have felt the need to keep their love a secrecy.
