Fsh Christian Academy: A Literature Review

468 Words2 Pages

FSH Christian Academy began from the hope of one woman to find a place that her daughter, who received a brain injury and suffered from post-concussion syndrome, could continue her senior year and graduate on time; and the desire of another woman to meet the educational needs of students on an individual basis in small classroom settings. Acquainted with the strengths of homeschooling and private education, Karen Holmes discerned God was changing her career path, but she did not know how or when God would use her. When she answered the call that the daughter of her friend needed her help, she knew immediately God was opening a door for her to launch a new approach to private Christian education. Beginning a dialogue with other parents whose children were struggling in traditional classroom settings, Karen was asked to start a school where children in unique situations could receive an exemplary education and regain their self-confidence in the classroom.
