Stories about kids and adults who don’t feel identified with their sex take over the internet. Communities like the LGBT which celebrates pride, diversity, individuality and different forms of sexual expression are still focus of controversy. With society being more tolerant towards diverse sexual expression, the young have become more daring and use sexuality as a weapon to break through social standards and stereotypes. That’s why it’s of such importance to understand what is gender identity, because this is a topic that is frequently discussed but not explained.
