General Education Nobody likes to waste time or money. That is totally obvious. College can waste your time and money. College is always a great thing not that it is not. However, general education can be. Allowing kids to skip general education will actually help them in the future. College should allow students to skip general education because it's a huge setback, it puts them in more debt, and it is a waste of time. Skipping general education will propel you into you future quicker and more efficiently. General education can be a huge setback if you don't use it right like most college students do. A huge setback in mainly time and money. Alyssa Pracz, in the article, “General Education Courses Are a Waste of Time and Money” says, “money that could be better spent elsewhere.” Pracz argues this way because of her previous experiences. Most of the classes you take you will not need in the future which is just costing you more money. Cliff Carden, in the article, “Should Colleges Eliminate General Education Requirements” explains that, “A lot of students have to take student loans jeopardizing their financial future.” He does however support both sides of the argument.
