Girl Scouts's Major Accomplishments
She was an important figure to African American society and the general public, because she encouraged other African American women to work in the science, mathematics and technology field.
Like she has a park named after her in Des Moines. She has a park named after her because she was very popular because of what she did which was she helped the poor when they were struggling. Later on in life she opened up a medical clinic. Not only did she want to help the poor she wanted to help anybody else who needed it. Those were really all of her accomplishments in life.
Last but not least she sold the business for 17 million dollars. This proved that they could also make a profit for the business. She helped women around the world feel confident that they could have their own business
Sacajawea was one of the most influential people in the exploration of the west coast. Sacajawea was a native american woman living in 18th and 19th centuries. Americans today know nothing certain about this brave woman. The only information that Americans have about sacajawea is from the diaries and journals of Lewis and Clark. Sacagawea was born in around 1786 in Idaho or Montana as a lemhi shoshone woman.
Juliette Gordon Low was the founder of the Girl Scouts. Although being deaf, Juliette was a quite successful woman in the deaf community. Juliette Magill Kinzie Gordon was born in Savannah, Georgia on October 31, 1860. She grew up in Savannah, Georgia with her parents William Washington Gordon ll and her mother Eleanor Lytle Kinzie. She was the second of six children.
She showed all African American women and men that they can achieve the impossible and have an intelligent mind like everyone else. Even African American poets from today like Alice Walker found her as an inspiration. In one of her poems about being brought to america, she perfectly summarizes what the struggle was being a slave that is equal to everyone
By showing that she can do that she is setting examples that anyone can do anything they just have to put in the work and never give up not matter what. Like Katherine Johnson known as the woman who loved to count, she also had many other wonderful things in her life like being a wife ,mother, and a right to freedom in history. Her life has inspired many young women around the world to stand for what they want in life and don't hold back and also respect people and make sure they respect
She helped all kinds of people especially the poor, and the people that couldn't help their self like the old people. Her experience leading slaves along the Underground Railroad was very helpful because she knew the land well. She needed to know the land well so she could locate the people that were sick and help them. She was a civil war nurse from 1820/1821.
She impacted our nation's history so much, which is why she will always be know as a hero and countless other life changing
The Daughters of Liberty The Daughters of Liberty was a group of women activists who fought for the freedom of the colonists from the British Parliament. They were a major factor in protesting against taxes and boycotting British goods. The Daughters of Liberty did whatever it took to free the Patriots from British rule. They accepted women from all ages and all backgrounds.

Rosa parks follows another woman, Claudette Colvin. Claudette did do exactly the same thing as Rosa, but she was pregnant at the time so the NAACP though she didn’t have the ability to stand up on her own. Colvin, Parks, Lafayette, Emeagwali, Fuller, Malcolm X, and Bridges are just a couple of the great african-american heroes. Rosa Parks is a influence on all people. She shows everyone that if they stand up in what the believe in they can do all things, even if there are consequences.
She was revered for her work as a ‘conductor’ of the Underground Railroad, and was even named ‘Moses’ after a prophet who led the Israelites to freedom in Egypt. Her empowerment of slaves had such a huge social impact because she gave them hope. The Underground Railroad had a moderate economic impact due to the fact that each slave was working for free and generating profits for their master
Rosa Parks’s influence on the fight for equality was arguably the most impactful of all the leaders in the Civil Rights Movement. Rosa Parks first embarked on her Civil Rights journey by becoming involved with the NAACP. The author of the History website page on Rosa Parks claims, “in December 1943 Rosa also joined the Montgomery chapter of the NAACP, and she became chapter secretary” (Rosa Parks). Rosa started out as a follower, but became dedicated to the organization so she ran for a board position. About ten years later, the famous Rosa Parks story took place in Montgomery.
It was her work in leading a women's peace movement that brought an end to the Second Liberian Civil War in 2003 and she won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2011 for her efforts.
