I did a research on American Express Company from the Forbes list of the leading world businesses list and how it leverages diversity at such a corporate level. American Express is a global company that believes that success is important to organisation and its employees in the area of diverse and how this affects its client base, workplace and communities they serve. The company uses a global diversity and inclusion strategy that enables them to shift their efforts in a certain specific direction. They have also spent time and resource contributing to seven research studies on how to advance women workplace and 23% of their board of directors is women. The company has also invented in bringing people together from all walks of life with shared interests to learn and enrich each other. Their priority is to find a balance among genders and encourage development by equipping people with tools, resources and sponsorships. Women Rising at American Express, which continues to support our goals by expanding on our core pillars of strengthening our female talent pipeline, advancing women and continuing to build a strong global network, (American Express, n.d.).). Therefore has also shown support for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) community by being one of the companies who has extend benefits and enacted tax equalization to all employees with the same sex partners. The company provides training for its employees on how to navigate and break their biases through such programs.
