To be successful in life, I believe that a person has to strive to be and/or do better than the day before. A person needs to set up realistic goals, that they can meet
Firstly, I would like to express my interest in becoming a member of National Junior Honor Society, for the reason that it means that I will be able to commit to the organization and will be able to take advantage of the privilege of joining the organization. There is so much I would like and enjoy about being involved in NJHS over the course of my lifetime. In addition, we had the chance to develop our leadership skills, character, and citizenship as well as interact with other groups of kids along the way. As a Web leader for the PVMS, I have shown leadership and can contribute to the PVMS chapter of the NJHS in many ways. WEB is where we will be helping kids in PVMS who are younger than us and are 5th graders that are unfamiliar with this
One of my short-term goals is to maintain my standing in the National Honor Society for my senior year. To keep this honor I must maintain a 3.75 grade point average in high school. This goal will be tough to accomplish considering that I am taking nine hours of concurrent classes each semester at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. It is very difficult to make good grade in college while I am still in high school because of all the extra-curricular activities I am involved in. Most college students have to go to class until noon and then they have the rest of the day to do homework or study.
The National Honor Society is built upon four founding principles: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. I have a high school life filled with dedication to these four principles on the Spiritual standpoint, the Familial level, the Community level and finally at the National level. Moreover, I did begin my dedication to these same four principles even before this starting with the Boy Scouts of America and this commitment will continue along with having a rich future when I reach my fullest potential. I firmly believe that to have academic excellence is giving your best effort to maintain not just having straight As and a high GPA at or close to the edge of attaining a 4.0, but to also have the skills that help you perform your very best in college and beyond. To recap, it is having a well-rounded education with just the right academics and activities best suited to your
I have been an active member in multiple school extracurricular activities. Mu Alpha Theta is one of the clubs I part take in, and I have been a member for three years. In Mu Alpha Theta, I participate in inter-school test, practice math problems and attend math competition. Another club I participate in is National Honor Society. I have been a member in National Honor Society for eleventh and twelfth grade.
It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader.
Success is something everyone vies for. Our society is built upon success- everything from the education system, jobs, happiness, etc... The problem is that success is highly indiviualistic. Everyone has his or her own definition of success. However, Sir Winston Churchill's brilliantly defines what he believes success to be in his quote, "Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm".
As a candidate for membership in the National Honor Society, I believe that I possess the qualities needed to be inducted. I am interested in joining the organization because I am confident in my leadership qualities and want to help the community. I have achieved the Honor Roll every quarter since it was available in Elementary. In 6th grade, I earned the Westchester County Clerk’s Distinguished Student Award from Timothy C. Idoni. plus, on my last year at A.B. Davis Middle School, I have merited the Triple C award from the Westchester Attorney General.
I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.
The National Honor Society is based off of four pillars; Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Scholarship is one of the most important pillars to me. Scholarship means not only doing well in school and getting good grades, but applying what I have learned and using it everyday. I know the importance of education and feel that I am a lifelong learner. I feel very fortunate to have been raised in a family where education is a priority.
It is an extraordinary honor to be considered as a candidate for the National Honor Society. Being considered means I have achieved my goal in demonstrating my determination- in school and outside of school- and my willingness to aid people in my community. Being a part of such a prestigious organization is an enormous responsibility to which I will fully devote my time. Ever since I was a freshman, my goal was to work diligently to be among the highest scholars and to be accepted into this scholarly “hall of fame”. Through my relentless hard work and perseverance, I believe that I possess the four characteristics of a National Honor Society member- leadership, service, character, and scholarship.
Success is found in all goals that are accomplished no matter how small or large that they are. Being successful doesn 't always mean that one must accomplish goals that are hard. To others it could be marrying the person they love. To be happy with that person for the rest of their life is a big success. Being successful at an educational standpoint would be graduating college with a degree in a future career.
Also, success is not describing what has been accomplished. Presently, success to me has always been to have a great quality life for me and my family, knowing that what am doing is helping others to live a better, happier, and healthier life. Not only that, but also to look back at life during my last moment on earth and feel that I have do a great number of good things, accomplishments, and legacy without having no regret about the things that I didn’t do. Equally important, creating business that empowers customers, employees, and community in equal measure is success. Also, I feel that my life is success if I can live each day with a positive outlook, having a feeling of contentment with my circumstances, having balance in all the important areas of life, and having the time and resources to pursue what I am passionate
The definition of success is different for different people. Some find success in being high performer, making a good and steady income or becoming wealthy. While some find success in persistently doing the greater things for others, or simply just having inner peace within themselves. With ups and down of life, it can be thought provoking to become successful and it does not matter what can be your definition of success. In this run, most of us tend to become stuck due to the confusion of how to even take step to reach the level of success in which they wish to be.
For example, graduating high school this year will be a success for me because I will have accomplished all of the years and requirements needed to achieve the diploma. With success also comes happiness. The reason why people thrive to be successful and not unsuccessful is because those how have achieved more find more happiness within themselves
