All three artists uses the lines in weird directions such as crisscrossing and diagonal placements in both artworks. On a canvas, it could have similar brushstrokes and completely different. Also, the reason why they started to paint, either to make money, to gain status, or just for fun. Just like there is differences between artists Henrietta Johnson and John Smibert.
For instance, The Sower uses expressive line throughout the entire drawing. In the field, it can be noticed that the colors are overlapped. Van Gogh is known for using expressive line in his work, which can also be seen in his other painting named Starry Night. Veteran in a New Field doesn’t use expressive line. The lines in this painting are more controlled.

First I’ll start with a brief biography of who Banksy is followed by where the art I am discussing has come from. Vincent Van Gogh was known for experimenting with different types of nature - especially when it came to observing cypress trees, landscapes, and flowers during his lifetime in the Post Impressionism period. In this Post Impressionistic painting “Flowers in a Blue Vase,” the painting itself showed many features of color, pattern, and texture. With the colors of the flowers, all of the primary and secondary colors appear within the painting that includes a few tints of tertiary colors in the midst of some of the flowers and leaves that led to different variations of light and dark intensity colors that occurred more in the red and orange flowers. In Van Gogh’s paintings Wheat Field with Cypress and Cypress are similar and yet two different paintings. One similarity of these two paintings are that they both have the same texture. The texture that they both have to me at least almost like a fluffy look to them or wavy droplets of paint in a curvy lines in different directions that almost give a flowy feel to them. Also, in both of them the shape that I find repeated in the images is a circular pattern almost that gives them a great texture. One difference in the two paintings is that in the Cypress the focal point is the tree that draws the most attention to your eye.

The lines give an unnerving feel to the room as vertical lines suggest that the room was not a place of tranquility, or calmness, but a rather gives a sense of despair. Furthermore, In the room there is also horizontal lines to suggest peace, and calmness.
