In the book The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, there was a poem mentioned, “Nothing Gold Can Stay" by Robert Frost. I think that the theme of this poem is growing up. The first line in the poem is "Nature 's first green is gold" and in Johnny 's note to Ponyboy he says, "You 're gold when you 're a kid, like green. " I think that this means that when you 're most gold when your a kid. The next line is "Her hardest hue to hold," I think that this line represents the inevitability of growing up.
In conclusion, the three aspects of my personality I consider to be golden are my sense of humor, my personality, and my mindset. The three traits I have that make me golden are big parts of what forms me as a person. For example my sense of humor, which I believe is important because I think that it affects the way people view you. Also, I comprehended the quote “stay gold” as someone saying to keep being yourself, and whatever qualities about your personality that you feel are golden, then you just need to know that those qualities are what makes you
Not only did I get to see my cousins that I only saw once a year, or get to be surrounded by my extended family, but I was immersed into a week without any technology. Most
I got out of bed and grabbed some breakfast pancakes, bacon, and some orange juice. It was delicious. After breakfast, my uncle, grandpa, brother and I loaded up the boat and got on the road. We were headed for Mille Lacs Lake. After about an hour of driving, we pulled into the boat launch and backed the boat in, then my grandpa got bait from the bait store by the launch.

Not all that Shines is Fine: The Silver in The Help as a Reflection of Racism In Kathryn Stockett’s novel The Help, Stockett uses the silver in the household to draw a line of discrimination between the white ladies and their colored help. Food was delivered to us and we went over to Philadelphia to hand them out. Pete’s Pantry allowed me to see and connect with so many people in need, and give them enough food for the week. In the end, we could stay and talk to the homeless and hear about their lives and how thankful they were for what we were doing. That really changed my perspective and made me more thankful for what I have and passionate about helping. I love the feeling of helping others and the look on their faces when they can worry a little less that day because they don’t have to worry about where their next meal is coming from.
I went to Cary, North Carolina to play against some of the best teams in the country that are my age. Reality hit me hard and told me that the pace I'm moving as a baseball player is not going to be enough to play against these kids later in my career. I knew I had to work harder. I had to sacrifice more in my life and devote that time to baseball. I make time for Jesus, baseball, school, and my family.
During this time I have ministered to all ages in various ways including preaching, pastoral coaching, weddings, funerals, hospital visits, baptisms, child-dedications, Bible studies, parent training,
That day I went to the altar with so much joy and sure of the God’s love for me that I went directly to the top of the altar and stood next to preacher! I was a sixteen (16) year old-teenager with long hair and wearing shorts, just extremely happy to accept Christ as my Lord and
The Age of Gold is known as a time of peace and prosperity. The Age of Gold was created and ruled by the titan Cronus, a society consisting of only men. Cronus created an age where men knew nothing of sorrow, pain, or anxiety. In a sense, this was a paradise for men, a paradise that, in modern times, one can only hope to achieve. According to the Greek epic poet Hesiod, this age was "described as a period in which people aged backward."
Once, I was heading to a sports game, The Kansas City Royals to be exact, with my family from Evansville, Indiana Which is about a 6 hour and a half hour drive. My kids were having so much fun singing and messing around. We don 't really get to have family time. But when we do, all of us enjoy it. My husband was driving and said that we were going to stop to get something to eat once we got to Kansas City because we were about 4 hours ahead of schedule.
