I pray that this is my calling and my purpose in life, but even if it isn’t, I do feel R. Irizarry Session 1 Journal that my journey to find out has just begun. I want to be a part of the healing process, not only for my veteran brothers and sisters, but for anyone that reaches out for help. With my recent loss of my father, I have found myself questioning so many things. But I do know in my heart that the answers that I need will come on his timing and not mine.
I felt, I needed to help and inspire my community to stand up against injustice, but I needed to redefined myself through the military and college. The military helped me established a foundation of ownership, which lead me in enrolling in my local community college where I was enlighten about activism and entered numerous organizations to be involved in service.
2. Are you enrolled in school and furthering your education in some capacity, whether it be certifications and or a degree(s), and tracking your education needed for your military career? 3. There are several reasons why I desire to become an Assistant Chief Recruiter. One of my motivating factors to achieve this milestone is so that I can give back to the Navy and my rate. Others include personal and professional growth. I have been in recruiting for 13 years and it has been amazing to see the impact I have had on my Sailors and how they have developed. I am motivated and dedicated to continuing developing our Sailors on a larger scale as an ACR.
Because of the Young Women's Auxiliary, I have had opportunities to show gratitude and fruitfulness toward my elders and peers. The YWA sponsors several events in my hometown, such as breast cancer walks, community gatherings, and visiting the ill within the community to praise and worship with them. Additionally, at the Sunday School Institute, I was able to work alongside my peers as we taught younger children Bible verses and praise and worship songs. The key purpose of the Sunday School Institute is to influence and inspire children to be more open minded and outgoing about their love for God. I am able to help do so by being an example for the children and a role model to them.
Additional Duties: Additional Duty First Sergeant is recommend to help you balance out your dominance PPS trait with the influencer trait. I feel that this will help you build better relationships with the other members in the unit. This will also help you by learning how to effectively become patient with people in helping them solve their problems. You should learn how to become more social and enthusiastic towards members. By you helping members in the unit solve their problems at the lowest level possible, they will not become bigger discipline problems.
Since my early days of grade school my ambition was never to become a uniformed professional serving our great nation. After 9/11, something changed in me giving me the desire and ability to serve my family in ways they couldn’t. Once I became a Soldier, I did not know for how long and to what extent I would serve. Over the last 12 years I realized the Army was the best choice I made in life, and for the last five years I have had random thoughts about how long the Army will let me serve and to what extent.
When I have spoken of my plans to become an officer in the United States Army, I am often greeted with looks on incredulity and with unceasing questions in regard to why I would do that. After all, according to my peers: becoming an officer in the United States Army requires years of impossible physical training, mentally demanding exercises, and being placed in potentially dangerous situations for little thanks or recognition. I have, indeed, wrestled with why exactly I would want to be an army officer, however I can confidently say that from among the myriad of reasons why I want to be an army officer, I have reduced it down to three reasons. I want to be an Army officer so that I can defend my country, to better myself, and to make a difference
For the past five years I have attended Mission Arlington with my youth group during spring break. Mission Arlington is a organization that helps the needy and helps to improve the lives of citizens in their community. Every year they host a Rainbow Express where church groups from many different states come together to teach bible stories, memory verses, sing songs, eat snacks and play games at local apartments. Through this the main goal is to spread Christianity by telling people of all ages about Jesus. They also help provide needed materials to members of the community.
Whether it's a service project I’m doing in school or going out to churches or other community events I’m always willing to help. In my church I have been involved in several ministries. First I started in Sunday school, than youth choir until I fully became involved in the youth ministries. I also take part in the culinary ministry where I help cook on every 4th Sunday and also I volunteer in my church's children’s group the Ethel G. Harvey Angels. In school I am an honors student and have been since the 9th grade.
I want to be a Warrant Officer because this is how I can best serve my country. Society expects me to fulfill an enormous amount of responsibilities. I will do so with the most humble head all while fulfilling my responsibilities. I am ready, willing and highly motivated to enter what is perhaps the most challenging chapter in my
I participate in C.R.O.S.S. at school when I get a chance and I plan to participate and/or go to XLT. I also might be Eucharistic Minister if I get accepted at school. 7) I participate in S.A.L.T. at school and outside of school I participate in Boy Scouts of Americas service projects with cleaning up the outside of St. Christophers Church property and help in the pantry at St. Christopher through the Boy Scouts. I am also an Alter Server at St. Agnes since I was in 7th grade till today and an Alter Server at Saint Christopher from 4th grade till 6th grade.
My purpose for joining the Army was more personal than anything else. You see my whole life I felt I could never make my father proud. No matter what I did or accomplished nothing ever seemed worthy enough. Therefore, I decided to join to make him proud. I chose to follow in his footsteps since he used to be in the Army.
Imagine a doctor cutting open a chest cavity exposing a still beating heart, a lawyer giving an eloquent discourse to the Supreme Court, its’ easy to see that that they are professionals. Now imagine an Army Soldier throwing a grenade and knocking out a fighting position; does not seem like the same thing but I assure you it is. The Army is a profession for many reasons but for the purpose of this paper, only three will be focused on. The Army is a profession because the Constitution made us one, because our skills are unique and last but not least, we serve the people of this country.
The second reason why I would like to join C Platoon is because I feel like I can do more than just basic patrol officer and even make their life safer. I feel that the work that C Platoon is putting in to protect the lives of basic patrol officer is something that I always deep down wished to do. I want to join the Platoon as it'll provide a great opportunity
