For the past five years I have attended Mission Arlington with my youth group during spring break. Mission Arlington is a organization that helps the needy and helps to improve the lives of citizens in their community. Every year they host a Rainbow Express where church groups from many different states come together to teach bible stories, memory verses, sing songs, eat snacks and play games at local apartments. Through this the main goal is to spread Christianity by telling people of all ages about Jesus. They also help provide needed materials to members of the community. I was nervous to tell the officer what I had seen but after he reassured me and made me feel comfortable I remembered the girl and how important it was for me to try and help her. I took a couple deep breathes and remembered back to what the guys looked like and the clothing they were wearing. I told the officer everything I knew and then went back to the van. We left the park that night around 11:00 pm. The next morning we met with the lead detective who thanked us for all our help and told us the girl was okay and they had the two men in custody. I’ve never felt so proud of my youth group and myself for stepping up and helping that young girl. We prayed over the detective who had been up all night working the case and for the girl who had to go through that horrific crime. That day all I could think about was how well the police officers handled the situation and how caring they were to all of us. They worked all night long just to find the criminals. I was so impressed and intrigued by them. That night changed my life forever. The Arlington Police Department made such a huge impact in my life and I believe God put me there that night to show me thats what I was meant to do.
