The morals and ethics of citizens are not a trait that people are born with, these have been developed through time and influenced by experiences. The values and ethics that are developed during our lifetime provide a sort of moral compass to live by and help make decisions. Every situation faced is looked at through a certain moral lens and gives advice on what should be done. A human is not born knowing right from wrong. A human is not born with specific beliefs and values. A human is certainly not born with the morals and ethics that will influence every single decision that is made in a lifetime. All the experiences faced during life help to create and sculpt the character and beliefs of everyone. Parents will try to teach a child a general difference between right and wrong, specific morals to follow, but that is something a child as an individual has to come up with independently. 1). Governments differ in kind, morals, ethics, and rules just as people do. But through experiences and lessons learned, adjustments are made to those beliefs. For example, the government of the United States is much different than the government of North Korea because they each have went through different situations, but the United States government has learned from the mistakes of others. This example can relate directly back to people. People must learn from the mistakes of others, digest the experiences and situations faced everyday, and really take in the difference between good and bad in order to develop the morals designated for each human being.
