Granted Synopsis

Liam Covington is drowning, but, that's really nothing new. Hanging on to the edge of life is a familiar place for him. In fact, over the years, he's started collecting souvenirs from every deadly accident.

Liam is a secretive teenager who wants nothing more than to live a normal, accident free life. Despite everything that has happened to him, he is determined to uphold his missing father's mantra: "Don't let accidents define you".

After Liam is saved by his forbidden childhood crush, Kenna Berlin, things start to get weird. Liam wakes up in the middle of the night to a luminescent, jade-blue man in his room. The shell that Liam brought home as a souvenir turns out to be bound to a Jinni named Gideon.

However, a wish is as easy to spend as a passing thought. Liam accidentally wishes himself into the cursed Jinn world and his remaining wishes are forced out of his hand.

Before they can harm Liam, he is kidnapped by a feral group of teenage Jinn. They reveal that there are different factions within the curse, each desperate to get out. They encourage him to explore his newfound powers as half Jinn, half human, but their experiments go horribly wrong, spiraling Liam deeper and deeper into trouble.

When Liam turns to Gideon for help, he learns that Gideon is the talisman for the curse and Darius quickly prompts Kenna to destroy it. Liam isn't willing to let the malicious Jinn world escape. Just as Kenna is about to fall to her death, Liam saves her, and is pulled back into the real world. Darius is instantly there to attack, though he still remains cursed. Liam is killed, but Darius is forced to sacrifice his life in restitution for killing Liam. Darius' life force, enters Liam's chest, reviving him.

The teen Jinn follow Liam out of the cursed land by binding their lives to a hodgepodge of animals. They set up a guard to help protect Liam from the rest of the angry Jinn
