In 1978, plenty of movies were released, and many of them were big hits. Out of those movies, was one of the top grossing films of the year. This movie was titled Grease. Grease is a musical movie about Summer love, loss, and change. There are greasers, girls, cars, and a whole lot of singing. Have you ever really looked into a few of the songs performed in the movie? Hidden meanings and overlooked lyrics may surprise you. The movie had a poor romance plot, offensive jokes, and sexism, but that’s okay, it’s a love story and everything turns out wonderful in the end.. Right? Grease was released on June 16, 1978. Usually, this happens due to needs and wants for attention and popularity. In high school, appearance is everything, which is why in Grease, Danny didn’t want to be seen with sandy because she didn’t dress the part of a ‘tough girl’ or greaser.
