Before Zeus was the king of the gods, he was raised by a magic goat named Amalthea, some things called Kouretes, and a few nymphs. When he grew up, he overthrew his father and saved his brothers and sisters. He and two of his other brothers became the rulers of the sky, the sea, and the Underworld, and Zeus became the ruler of them all. He was wise, according to the myths, and solved many disputes. He is the most commonly known Greek god, and there are many stories about him.

Next appeared Atum (also known as Atem, or Tem), who rose out of the chaotic water using only his will and his thoughts.
Hephaestus was the Greek god of blacksmithing, fire, sculptors, and volcanoes. He is the son of Zeus and Hera, According from the Odyssey; However, Hesiod says Hera bore Hephaestus alone and conceived in order to get back at Zeus for bringing forth Athena. He married Aphrodite to prevent a war of the gods fighting for her hand. He had his own place on Olympus where he invented many automations to work for him. Hephaestus was the only ugly god, and that is the reason Zeus chose him to marry Aphrodite.
Heracles, more commonly known as Hercules, was a half-human, half-god son of Zeus and descendant of Perseus who slayed Medusa. Heracles was something known as a demigod, so from birth, he was very strong and rather fearless. Hera, Zeus' wife, did not like Heracles and sent 2 snakes to kill him while he was a baby, the plan failed when Heracles strangled the snakes instead. When Heracles was a Young adult Hera cast a spell to drive Heracles insane, and because of this, he killed his wife and children. To atone for this, he sought out Apollo( another son of Zeus ) for atonement, Apollo knew it was not his fault but still gave him the 12 Labor.
The Greek monster Cyclops is comparable to a giant with the exception that Cyclops have one enormous eye on their face instead of two. Cyclops were know as Hephaestus’ workmen. They stayed in the Mt. Etna volcano and did any tasks Hephaestus had for them. Some Greek stories say that Cyclops were sons of the titans Uranus and Gaea. Polyphemus, the most famous Cyclops was involved in multiple Greek stories including the story of Odysseus and the story of Polyphemus and Galatea.

His birth name was Alcides but then was changed in a attempt to please Hera (Heracles means Glory of Hera). Hera supposedly sent two snakes to kill Heracles in his bed, but he strangled a snake in each hand and played with them after as if they were toys.
Hephaestus' Great Peril It was the second Great War and Gaea’s forces were stronger than ever before. The earth goddesses minions had already overturned many minor gods and Hephaestus knew that he was next in line for the one-way trip down Tartarus, the pit that very few gods have came out of whole. “The god of blacksmiths will not be overturned by some titans and a few boulders!” Hephaestus thought angrily as he set up his most famous trap, an indestructible net, above the main entry to the blacksmithery “ I'm going to miss this place” Hephaestus told all of his automatons, who were all sitting and quietly watching him.
Today I am going to tell you all about the greek god Hephaestus. He is one god many are not aware of. He has one very messed up past that includes hatred, disappointment, and being disliked for his appearance. He was not only disliked by many in the community, he was disliked so much so that his parents abandoned him. Today I am hoping you will know a little bit more about Hephaestus the god of fire and metalworking he had a very common theme that occurred in his life, being very underappreciated and being despised for no general reason i think he was just someone the people back then liked to despise and make fun of despite many not even having a valid reason or even having met Hephaestus.

While all the Greek gods bare unique skills and incredible talents, Athena, Poseidon and Hephaestus are identified as the most important for humanity. The twelve gods, some more than others, are all important for humanity, but I believe Hephaestus, Poseidon and Athena are the greatest cause for a thriving civilization. Together, both Hephaestus and Athena help civilization rise up and evolve from caves to flourishing cities and Poseidon enables and protects ships as they cross his waters. Hephaestus gift to the world is neither inconceivable nor far-fetched but it is a necessity and a key component leading to a civilized and evolved society. Hephaestus is the god of metal work which includes items like armor, swords and shields, key items for wars and battles.
Hephaestokratos, son of Philakratos of the deme Kolonos was born on November 13, 460BC in Athens, Greece. His family was part of the middle class allowing him to have a fulfilling and enjoyable childhood. Hephaestokratos had no siblings and spent much of his early life working around the family blacksmith shop with his father, Philakratos. Hephaestokratos idolized Philakratos because he was not only a loving and caring man, but a fantastic mentor as well. At a young age, Hephaestokratos was taught how to use the forge, sparking an interest in weaponry and combat.
