Norse. Greek. Two of the most comparable mythology's of all-time. These mythology's are still compared to today. They are more similar than different. While Greek and Norse mythology are similar in their Gods and their Fates/Norns, they are different in their worlds. Firstly, the Greek and Norse Gods have many similarities. In these mythology's they both have an “all-father” or “ruler” like a dictator. In Greek mythology the “the ruler of the Olympian Gods” is “Zeus” (GreekMythology.com). In Norse mythology the “all-father is “Odin” he is also called the “chief of the Aesir” (Norse-Mythology.net). Both Zeus and Odin are the leaders of the Gods. To start off with, the Norse world is not just one world, it is made up of “9 worlds” (Norse-Mythology.com). Unlike the Norse world, The greek world is one world split into “3 kingdoms.” The “Heaven,” “the Sea,” and the “lower world”/ the underworld (Ancient-Greece). Secondly, the place where the Gods reside. In Greek mythology the Gods live on a mountain in the mortal world, that is very high it goes into the sky. The Gods reside on the “peak” that is called “pantheon” (Greek Mythology). This is different from Norse mythology because, they reside in a whole other world than humans. The Gods home is “high up in the sky [of] Asgard.” This is the home “of the Gods and Goddesses” (Norse-Mythology). The final reason is, the mood in the Heavens. In Norse mythology there “is no joy or bliss” in the Heavens, like an unhappy kid at a party. The Gods know “eventually [it will] be completely inebriated” (PitLane Magazine). Unlike Norse mythology, Greeks Heaven is “full of merriment and carefree celebration” like a college kid at a frat party on friday night.
