The life pursued by the average young person in America is fast paced and scheduled to the point of breaking. As time has progressed this time stretched life style has impacted the need for food that isn’t cooked at home or even at restaurants that cook with traditional methods. This coupled with the swelling number of households with either a single parent or two working parents has increased the reliance on the fast food industry and in turn increased the overweight and obesity rates in the country. In his article “Don’t Blame the Eater,” David Zinczenko addresses this topic and places the blame not on those partaking in these delectable dinners, but in the hands of the fast food industry and their lack of understandable labeling. Zinczenko’s argument is valid and strong due to his equal use of ethos, logos and pathos.

From this the ¨tyrant¨ Creon makes a proclamation that Polynices, one of the brothers, shall not receive a proper burial because he was traitor. This kicks off the story of young Antigone and her fight to give her brother a proper burial.
Sometimes the person that you don’t get along with is the person you are most alike. My dad and I most of the times don’t get along. Whenever one of us is wrong we try to prove it right because we believe we are right which ends up in a fight or us being mad at each other. Antigone wanted to bury Polyneices after he died but Creon said that he forbid anyone who tried to bury him because Polyneices was a traitor. Antigone did not care and buried him anyways even though she knew she was going to get punished.
Than had Antigone sentenced to the vault until she dies. Haemon her soon to be husband defends Antigone, but Creon ignores him. Teiresias an oracle or fortune teller warns Creon that he will be punished by the gods for his actions. Creon then went to releases Antigone with Haemon to rescue her but she hung herself.

The tragic hero of this poem is Creon, the King of Thebes. Creon is faced with the difficult task of punishing his niece, Antigone. She has broken one of his laws stating that no one is to give proper burial rites to Polyneices, Antigone’s brother, because he tried to overthrow Creon.
In Sophocles’ play Antigone, Creon, the king of Thebes, best represents a tragic hero. Creon demonstrates goodness in his intentions for Thebes as well as his fragile state due to the fact that he recently lost several family members. Creon, newly named king, finds himself as highest ranking official around, showing superiority. Creon often acts stubborn and prideful, his tragic flaw. And lastly, he must come to terms with the fact that he caused the death of his wife, son, and niece.
