Have you ever felt like you have matured and grown. I know I have, and so did a character in a book we have read in class this year. The book is called Tom Sawyer. He was a little rebel but throughout the book he has matured and grown. He has also been through so many mishaps. Tom has changed and matured so much throughout this book. For example at the beginning of the book Tom was mischievous and played a lot of tricks on his friends and family. I noticed he started growing up more and more as the book progressed I think it is because of all the hardships he had to live through in the book. Towards the beginning he tricked people to do his chores, snuck out of the house, and even gave Peter the cat medicine. Now at the end of the book he has been more mature with situations. In the beginning of the year I didn’t really know anyone. I was as shy as a turtle hiding inside his shell so I didn’t make many new friends. I have gotten better at being more open to people. I have even gotten better at learning because I figured out the way different teachers teach because they are all different. I have become a better student because I have gotten to know all the teachers and the students in my classes so I’m not afraid to ask questions. I feel like I have changed so much socially and emotionally throughout this year. I feel like all of the teachers and student in my classes are all outgoing in their own way that is what helped me the most when it came to becoming less shy. Last year at my old school things were a lot more strict about homework and we also had a lot more homework. This year I feel like the teachers do care about your grade and they do want you to get your homework in on time but 9they don’t make such a big deal about
