The second amendment and the input of gun control laws has been a big issue, especially when the number of mass murders and shootings are continuing to grow in the United States. Putting a limit or constraint on people who own guns will not stop the problem. Putting a limit may hold someone back for a short period of time, but somehow will still find one, purchase it, and use it. Some people just own a gun for the simple purpose of protection. Three major components of the second amendment will be affected if some type of gun control were to take place and those three components are concealed carry, weapons of mass destruction, and invasion of privacy.
Why take away the protection and recreational shooting practices of innocent citizens because others are irresponsible? Gun control laws are a major issue being discussed in the U.S. right now. Some believe that by condemning the availability of firearms to all, criminals and people with mental illnesses will be less likely to attain firearms. However they are then violating the people’s second amendment right, which give them the right to bear arms. Even though firearms have been legal in the United States for a long time, now is the time we need to revise this law. One reason why the government should restrict the availability of guns is because the Second Amendment is not an unlimited right to own guns. Recent studies have shown that in 2016, 374 people died from assault weapons and 7,105 people died from handguns so why try to go harder at banning assault weapons and not pistols.
They also believe that it's not the gun that kills people but the person pulling the trigger. They believe that the mass shootings happening or happened in the country and the guns that were used are illegally obtained or bought. Gun supporters propose instead of banning guns the government and anti-gun activists need to examine why people feel the needs to use guns irresponsibly. Also banning guns would give a rise in the black market. Giving rise to many organized gangs and leaders which would cause a disruption on the streets and
