Gutter Ball The gutter ball activity started off as an exciting new experience that I was looking forward to playing. Not only was this my first time doing a class activity class outside, but I actually felt comfortable knowing I had to do a group activity with other people. However, it soon turned a little sour. My group was the evens and we started off doing really well. Yet, we lost our motivation and got discouraged when the other team put the marble in cup first. This lead to our demise, because we were no longer working as a group. Everyone started feeling frustrated and being outside no longer gave us that happy feeling. Inclusivity is defined in the book as understanding, valuing, and actively engaging diversity in views, approaches, styles and aspects of individuality (pg. 108). Our team had the same amount of people as the other group. However, we had a problem making everyone feel apart of the team. Three people took the lead and no one questioned it or tried to make it better. After we kept dropping the marble, the three “leaders” were obviously frustrated which left the rest of the team members to try to, either support their view or tell them to take it easy. Our group slowly started losing interest in the activity and just complained. I believe we should have been more inclusive. Our group should have taken a few minutes to discuss what we what we were doing wrong and how we can fix it. This way we could have heard everyone’s opinion and taken their ideas into account. Inclusivity could have helped our team with our communication and have us working towards the same goal. Our group could have had a better strategy to help us working together we could have used
