In 1792 Bc through 1750 Bc Hammurabi was a ruler of mesopotamia who made 282 laws.The laws were on a large stone tablets that everybody could see.He was a ruler of 1,000,000 people.The three parts of the stone tablet laws were the prologue, laws, epilogue.He was believed to get the laws from shamash the god of justice.

The question is are is laws just or unjust.A reason why it's just is an eye for an eye,many people in mesopotamia believed that if a son striked his father one of the son's hand will be cut off.Which having a hand cut off would be a would be counted as a harsh punishment.Unjust would be that taking off a hand is to harsh because he hit his father.This means that the people were serious about the hierarchy
