There are many women that have contributed in making the world a better place, but the one that I think stands out is Dolores Huerta. She is an idol because of her living style and utmost propriety behavior impacted the lives of many, especially Mexican women. Her life was fulfilled with morality, dedication, and equality. Dolores Huerta was the second child born to Juan and Alicia (Chavez) Fernandez on April 10, 1930, at Dawson, New Mexico. North of Dawson, Dolores lived a submissive life in a small mining town near the mountains.
It might not seem like a lot to some people but she really did help a lot of people in her time. People nowadays won’t know who she is but people back in the day will always remember her for what she
Today, her legacy is carried on by the innumerable people who keep up the battle for justice and equality. All people who want to create a better world are inspired by her boldness and
When we look back at our history there were a lot of decisions that had to be made when trying to figure out how to bring together a strong constitution. Our founders had a lot of strong opinions that had to be talked about when trying to reach a conclusion. There where challenges and compromises that had to be faced when trying to ratify the constitution. We all know that the constitutional convention meet between May and September of 1787. As we were already taught in class, there was a weak central government under that articles of confederation that had to be changed in order for everyone to agree upon.
She also cared about others to. She went back and rescued many, many slaves. She was a good woman because if it wasn’t for her some of the slaves wouldn’t be gone. She helped a lot of people from slavery. She did not want to be a slave.
She showed all African American women and men that they can achieve the impossible and have an intelligent mind like everyone else. Even African American poets from today like Alice Walker found her as an inspiration. In one of her poems about being brought to america, she perfectly summarizes what the struggle was being a slave that is equal to everyone
Second, she helped against inhumane actions. Evidence of this is that slavery is now outlawed as being inhumane. This means that she was doing what is now considered right. Another piece of evidence is that she saved people from being worked and beaten to death. This means she saved people from a slow and painful death.
By showing that she can do that she is setting examples that anyone can do anything they just have to put in the work and never give up not matter what. Like Katherine Johnson known as the woman who loved to count, she also had many other wonderful things in her life like being a wife ,mother, and a right to freedom in history. Her life has inspired many young women around the world to stand for what they want in life and don't hold back and also respect people and make sure they respect
She has inspired different people all over the world. She used courage to get over more than
The way she uses her tone, and her words will be remembered for along time. She is inspirational, passionate, caring, and she cares for people's well being. They could be white, black, asian, or hispanic and she would want equal rights for everyone. Freedom is a right not a privilege, use freedom
Being sheltered since birth from evil and poverty she is loving and caring for all those around her no matter where they live or what they look like because she sees the good in all people around
Beowulf and “The Wife of Bath’s Tale” are both narratives in which gender acts as an important theme within their individual communities; both have underlying meanings when it comes to defining what the role men and women in a good community should be. Or in other words, both stories paint a vivid picture of the role of women during the medieval time period, by suggesting that one gender had more power over another. However, these two narratives take alternative paths when expressing their views; Beowulf conveys its message through what is missing, while “The Wife of Bath’s Tale” incorporates satire and uses explicit narrative when telling the experience of a woman that is highly different from other women in her time. Furthermore, another difference that is appealing to the reader’s eyes, besides the way the two narratives reflect to women’s role in medieval times, is that men become the hero in Beowulf, while “the wife”, so a woman, becomes the authority figure in the story of “The Wife of Bath’s Tale.” I want to first introduce the two main differences between the two narratives and then I will explain how regardless of the differences, both of these narratives’ main goal is to show that women had less power and a good community back that time was male dominated.
She is a great woman in the pursuit of peace between the two communities that had a long standoff. She performs a multifaceted function as a queen and a princess, which makes her an important woman in the
Introduction Throughout my time here at Teachers College, I began to reflect heavily on my educational experiences from elementary to high school. I often ponder the questions of how did I end up here. Was this always the plan or did I deviate from my life’s direction? What sociological concepts and ideas have I already had experience with? Throughout this paper, I will examine the aims and functions of my organized schooling in K-12th grade.
