Like various other authors, getting her finalized first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, was harder than she thought. She was rejected by at least a dozen publishers, but didn’t give up. Finally, a small british publisher named Bloomsbury saw the increasing potential out of her draft. In fact, according to Sara Biebel, a writer for Biography, that the “chairman of the publishing house gave the first chapter to his then eight-year-old daughter, Alice, to read. Upon finishing, she immediately demanded the rest of the book.” The effect of the book went on to influence numerous people of all ages.
