The American Dream is the ideal that every U.S citizen has. A wish,desire..such as equality,freedom,right to property and so on. The american Dream is the ideal wish, a desire a person feels he/she is granted, is rightfully to have by being a U.S citizen.
Some citizens have experienced racism therefore they’re american dream is equality, others have experienced denied of property therefore they want the right to property.
Knowing this, on your opinion has the american dream changed since the 1960’s?

Now with internet there are social Networks that perform,even promote racism agiasnt African Americans,Mexicans, Arabs.Jews and so forth. Almost any ethnicity that isn’t white.
There are jokes about them, race comments, racial images and planning acts towards them.
Racism is still very present today but it is hidden, more settle and discreat,For example There are even racist words or phrases that people use in everyday life and do not consider disrespectful nor racist. Instead it’s used fondly as a game, fun to say or a joke. Racism has been present for decades in this society and yet nobody tries to change anything for its seen as a popular phrase,wording, as a game. For Instance people use the word “nigga” as to refer to an african american, or any person of dark color. sometimes its used with anybody as long as its fun to say it and it sounds cool. Now to say that African Americans and other ethnicities weren’t the only ones being mistreated or humiliated in society. During the 1960’s women were struggleling to gain equality and respect from other men. Women were seen as property,decoration, they were mere housewives to their families and to society, They were just pretty flowers on display.
The 60’s is known as decade of change for women, The time period of fight towards gender equality and respect. During this time the Vietnam war was in effect, Men were recruited to go fight in the war , many soldiers were needed in this long war from 1961 until 1973.

Because of the huge need of soldiers men were constantly recruited, therefore leaving their jobs,homes,families and social activities, because of this men left to war. Women were left with open jobs looking for employees, women were left to maintain the family. Women worked in the first time in their lives, women took the role of independence. Some women sewed, other knitted clothing, blankets, most worked in factories. Before that women just looked pretty, there were contest were women competed to who cleaned faster, changed diapers faster, commercials even advertised women as mere housewifes. Commercials even said ‘women would love this vacuum for the holidays,
