As teens grow older things change such as hair, appearance, clothes, and sometimes even our friends. Parents let us choose these things. So why can't we choose who to be in a relationship with? The LGBTQ community stands for minorities that battle with their sexuality, those minorities being teens. The increase in the number of hate crimes in the community has increased dramatically. The times are changing so I can I minds of the way sexuality change as well.

The LGBTQ community is suffering a lot of problems especially the younger generation of the community. The main problems' come from parents claiming that LGBTQ is influencing their children into the homosexuality platform. The increase is mostly are between the ages of 15 to 24.that is right around high school and college which is when teens are more cruel about who you are and what you do.

There's been more than 6,000 hate crime since 2016. In 2016 data show that a five percent increase since 2015.However, these numbers likely represent only a fraction of such cases, given that reporting hate crimes to the FBI is not mandatory. Thousands of law enforcement agencies throughout the country did not submit any data. The lack of data causes the FBI to be unhelpful, in showing the increase or decrease of the hate crimes. There have been hate crimes in the schools around the world. Hate crime around the school has been increased 62% in the years between 2016-2017.while researching this topic I came across a website that addressed the topic about hate crimes in school ¨School leaders said it was a “disturbing” increase, but argued that it is still “relatively rare” for these offenses to take place in schools and colleges.¨(independent.co.).
