In Act Three Scene One Mercutio is killed and says the famous quote, "a plague a' both your houses!" The Capulets and Montagues are both responsible for the death of Mercutio. The first reason is that the families choose to fight. My second is that there is no effort by both families to stop the fighting. My third reason is that it takes such an extreme measure to end the fighting and hostility between the families.
Both families finally realize the rivalry was pointless, a little too late. The feud was resolved after they lost their loved ones. All of the problems throughout the play happened due to hatred between two families. The animosity between the Capulets and Montagues is only part of what contributes to the death of the “Star crossed lovers.”
It is not known what started the feuding fights, but both Montague and Capulets have been threatened their life if they disrupt the society yet again. The hatred between families was obvious and known of throughout Verona, “My only love, sprang from my only hate” yet another extract of what Juliet said. Now, Lord Capulet had put Juliet under ultimate stress for her to marry Paris, as I said before.
The Montagues are confused on why the feud is roaring again. It happened so long ago they don’t even remember what it’s about all they know is they hate each other. The families fight makes it so the two young teens can’t be honest about their feelings. It also makes it so they have to hide their feelings towards each other from their parents. Romeo sneaks into the Capulet ball and Tybalt sees him which restarts the feud between the families “Uncle this is a Montague, our foe, a villain that is wither come in spite to scorn at our solemnity this night.”
The prologue explains that the Capulets and Montagues have been feuding for years, (Quote). It may seem like it’s not their fault because they are just continuing what their ancestors did, but they should have been smart enough to know that their fighting would hurt people. The Prince in scene 1 knows this, and he calls Lord Capulet out on it, (Quote). Instead of getting on his house he continues their feud and lets Tybalt fan the fire. Furthermore, when Romeo kills Tybalt, Lady Capulet has such a need for bloodlust she is the reason Romeo was banished (Quote).

The story of Romeo and Juliet is about two young teens falling in love with families that despise each other. Eventually, the hate gets out of control, and they die.
Being kind isn't always a good thing it could ultimately be the bad thing in some cases, The reason I say this is because you might be kind to the wrong person and they will do something bad. For an example being kind to a robber in precautions of not knowing what they will do. In Romeo and Juliet someone being kind caused terrible accidents that had ultimately caused the death of both teens. How just rejecting situations or decisions could have avoided events causing a lots of accidents that could have been handled in an easier manner. A careful analysis will show that misguided kindness led to the deaths of the two young lovers.
At the beginning of the play, the fight between the Capulets and Montague is a significant part to see the hatred within the feud. Throughout the fight scene, many servants from both sides are hurt, and the fear of the bystanders causes the Prince to be called. Before when the Prince leaves he declares, “If ever you disturb our streets again, / Your lives shall pay the forfeit of the peace” (1.1.98-99). The Prince is tired of the dangerous fights and bitterness between the families.
Hate impacts society more than love because hate can affect people directly and indirectly. In Romeo and Juliet early on we learn that two families hate each other the Montagues and Capulets Romeo is a Montague and Juliet is a Capulet. Their families ancient grudge causes a downward spiral of death and sadness throughout the whole story and everybody is affected in a negative way because of the families grudge. In the story a young couple falls madly in love but their love is denied by multiple obstacles leading back to their families grudge. Romeo meets Juliet at a capulet party and they instantly fall in love not knowing each other is a part of their families rival.

Romeo and Juliet represents two families of similar social economic status and wealth but are in an interpersonal conflict between a flourishing love and a gory family feud. Juliet immensely changes during the course of the movie from a young girl to a mature young lady because she must deal with a forced marriage, abusive parents, and the banishment of Romeo.
