The people of that nation under control conflict may also experience wars, rebellions, or cultural destruction. Looking at some of these events, we see some positives and negatives of imperialistic action taken by the United States, and how it affected the nations imperialized by the United States. For starters, let’s look at Hawaii’s annexation.

In the Hmong culture, there are varieties of religions in the community, but two of the most common ones are animism and Christianity. There are two different perspectives of life in the Hmong community as well: American modernized and traditional.

Hula dancers train very hard physically and mentally to make the lyrics and dance moves sound and look smooth and graceful. While they are dancing they must concentrate on the other dancers so their dance moves and voices are the same and in sync. Most importantly, the history of Hula, which is still used today, comes from Hawaiian mythology where Hula dancing expressed stories, poetry, and scenes from nature. Therefore, Hula girls must be able to work hard, perform together, and tell stories using lyrics and dance moves.
Many Native Hawaiian people have lost touch with their culture. Many people around the world don’t know about the unique Hawaiian culture. People in America don’t know a lot about these unique Hawaiian arts either. Many of the old Hawaiian traditions were lost because foreigners took over the Hawaiian islands and banned many Hawaiian traditions that have been going on for decades. This loss of culture was devastating for the people and was hard to gain back after almost being completely eliminated.
The culture musical culture of people from Hawaii is majorly based on Reggae and the Hawaiian types of music. Despite the two kind of music were commonly listened across my neighborhood, some people also listened to RnB’s music. Some of my friends in school also loved listening to hip hop songs despite their background being reggae and the Hawaiian music. RnB’s music sounded very different from the Hawaiian music. While the Hawaiian music was exciting and danceable, RnB’s sounded very slow and boring to my ears.
