Hazard Communication Plan
The purpose of this plan is for communicating hazard information to all personal outlined in OSHA's Hazard Communication standard (29 CFR 1910.1200).
This plan is to ensure that information regarding any potential danger from hazardous chemicals is known to all Dogtown Police Department employee’s. This plan will be reviewed and updated as required by OSHA. Training will be conducted with all personnel who work with or are potentially exposed to hazardous chemicals. These employees will be re-trained on an annual basis.
It is required that all containers will be properly labeled with the appropriate hazard warning label and contain the manufacturers name and address. Each container will be verified by a second person

Any incident of exposure to a hazardous product, chemical or substance will be documented and report to the Chief of Police immediately. Failure to comply with the outlined Hazard Communication Plan can and will be reflected in employee performance evaluations.
Exposure Control Plan
The purpose of this plan is to reduce the risk of an occupational exposure and define the procedure for reporting exposure by following the guidelines outlined in OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).
As a law enforcement officer performing their assigned duties there is always the risk for exposure to blood and other infectious materials. It is the goal of the Dogtown Police Department to educate and train all employees who may at some point be exposed to an infectious disease.

An outside pat down should be carefully conducted to locate any possible sharp objects.
Protective, OSHA approved eyewear is issued to all employees. Splash-resistant eyewear should be put on before any situation that could result in a splash, splatter, or spray of blood or bodily fluid. Gloves, gowns, masks, and eye protection must be work when handling any invasive postmortem, which could potentially result in exposure to bodily fluids.
Officers will wear their green reflective high visibility traffic safety vest when conducting any form of traffic control outside of their vehicle.
Officers will be provided with body armor which is to be work=n at all times the officer is on duty.
Most PPE is disposable, however used equipment must be disposed of properly. When PPE is removed it is to be placed in a designated area for storage, decontamination, or disposal. If contaminated with bodily fluid of unknown substance, the item must be placed in a plastic bag and sealed. A bio-hazard sticker is to be placed on the outside. If a uniform is contaminated by blood or some form of infectious material, the uniform is to be removed immediately and placed in a plastic bag, sealed, and
