Unit 4 is the preparation of treatment in which the baseline data (activity level) is gathered. This includes daily activity record and behaviour contract. A daily activity record ( hour by hour ) is used to monitor activities clients is already doing, to see the frequency of healthy and unhealthy behaviours. (Lejuez, 2001, p. 265). In this phase, the client is encouraged to create an environment, one that promotes healthy behaviours (Lejuez, 2001).
4.6- It is accepted that practitioners in health and social care settings can be affected by the stressful nature of the work. (Godden 2012) When discussing challenging situations with supervisees we need to ensure they feel supported and have received the necessary training such as DMI and have completed their induction. Ensure they understand they have to adhere to the behaviour management programs and relevant risk assessments. If a specific incident has occurred reflect with them the effects of events and consequences and actions that occurred, using the records of incidents, A B Cs and tick charts for reference if needed. Help them to understand how they might have caused and influenced events and work out the most effective way to handle
The NHS will be using both treatment and preventative measures as an approach by giving Adam leaflets and information booklets that will give him a better understanding of his diagnosis, so that he knows what to expect throughout university when he doesn’t have his family close by to support him. By having a better understanding of his diagnosis Adam will be able to educate others around him about schizophrenia and make them understand what may happen to him, by doing this the new people he meets wouldn’t be so alarmed at seeing the symptoms that might come about in Adams everyday life, and also because the doctor is giving him medication in order to treat his diagnosis. With Adams condition he has to be entered into a treatment process which is commonly known as a care programme approach, this process is to see if Adam is getting the right medication and treatment for his needs.

For example, an individual I care for with learning disabilities and epilepsy made a phone call to the organisation I work in around 10pm and informed me that she was going out, as it is her right to chose when and where she goes I could not tell her she could not do so, instead I asked where she was going, she informed me she was going to a party at a friends house, I then tried to obtain information about where her friends
There are currently 107 residents in St Mary 's Drumcar healthcare facility. It also has many community based centres around the locality. Management of Care Case Study Josepha is working on a medical surgical unit with three other RNs and one LPN. There is also a male and a female patient care tech. Josepha has been a nurse for four months, and after completing two months of orientation she takes a full assignment as a registered nurse. Josepha feels that the assignments she receives are not always fair, as she tends to get the most challenging clients.

The more effort leaders put in the more effort they are going to get out from the people they are leading. The leader might be dis-liked, but being liked isn’t in the job description. Being a leader might not be that hard, but just because they are a leader doesn’t mean they are good.
Lee, regarding about challenges in changes processes, as nurse leaders, we need to think outside our own silos, research how others are doing it and maybe change it and apply it to our needs. This is very similar to my topic of reverse innovation, which is getting ideas from the poor and applying it to the more developed economies (DePasse & Lee, 2013). In my area of transplant, we have a separate department that handles insurance, Transplant Patient Access Services (TPAS) representatives.
Many people are supported in their homes by people who work along side the health and social care service such as social workers,nursers ,doctor and care givers or they may get support from their family members and friends. An elderly person may choose to stay in their own homes instead of a residential care home while seeking help and support from others,however this can lead to potential opportunities for abuse happening to the person who Is being looked after. When an individual is getting support at home by a carer, the individual being cared for is vulnerable and defenseless and therefor this makes them a target for abuse,another example is abuse by strangers,when an elderly person lives alone they are at risk of people calling at the door and then gaining access to their homes,they may steal items from them or mistreat them or cause intimidation. A person who is vulnerable and living alone are at risk of physical and sexual because there is no one there to stop this abuse from happening.
Advanced Practice Competencies There are many roles and areas of practice available to graduates with a master’s degree in nursing. Changes in healthcare resulting from the passage of the Affordable Care Act offer new and innovative roles for nurses. Among these roles are direct care practice roles as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in family care, gerontology or adult health. Indirect care roles as a Nurse Educator, Nurse Administrator, or Nurse Informaticist are also options graduates of master’s program may choose. Regardless of the path chosen, there are core competencies that must be met for each, in addition to specific competencies related to the area of practice chosen.
The negatives effects – would be that the carer could be stressed about looking after the infant as they might be too small for them to hold or carry. There are many negative effects as looking after infants can be quite hard and upsetting at times. Also, an effect linked to this would be stress of responsibility the informal carer might think that they might drop the baby and don’t want to risk that happening so they just play with her/him on a little play mat but, on a safe place like a seat or bed with a border. Another negative effect would be that maybe they couldn’t supply for the infant like buying nappies or powered milk etc. In addition, being bored of looking after the baby as they are too little and the carer can’t play with them

The National Care Standards lay out what all individuals should expect when using care services. They exist to ensure that service users are treated with respect and that human rights are maintained. The new National Care Standards were passed by the government in June 2017 however they will be officially put into practice from April 2018. A Care Standard sets out information on what a good care service should be like and what it should provide for the service user. The National Care Standards include dignity, privacy, choice, safety, realising potential and equality and diversity.
Now days the Professional development is essential for our life, it can provide the drive to progress careers, kept across the industry competitive and, ultimately, can make you more employable. Professional development is something you will do every day of your life without even thinking about it; however, being aware of the development you learned will allow you to record this and develop in a proffessional way. In order to be effectively in work field and your lifetime, it is important that you need to improving your knowledge and skills continually to keep yourself at high levels of professional competence. When I finished my degree at university and go to work area I found difficulty to deal with problems in work field, because the people I met are think in different way from people where I was at university, it is something like to put someone inside box for long time after that you put it in crowded area and he or she has to communicate with these people in order to be up to date for life changes.
