What are these two articles about? Who is the main focal point in each of them? While reading these two pieces I found a way to incorporate the two pieces together. “Heed their Rising Voices,” was about Southern Violators that wanted to destroy Dr. Martin Luther King, because he was a non-violent and peaceful leader. With that being said, they feared this new way of freedom and how Dr. King ran this new right to vote movement. With this intention, the Violators would stop at nothing to try and keep him from running this movement. As a result, Americans stepped in on this and said we need to do something about this non sense, so they put together an appeal coupon and sent it out to everyone. He wanted society as a whole to be equal and for every different race to come together as a whole. For an example, his speech, “I have a dream,” he preaches for all the people in our society to be equal and not prejudice against each other anymore. This man has made it so all the people in our society gets their freedom and not just some people. He has changed society’s way of thinking so much, that they reserved a holiday in his honor. I truly believe he was an inspiration to many people in our society. On the other hand, I believe there were some people in our society that wanted to get rid of him altogether, like the Southern Violators.
