Helen Adams Keller was an American author, political activist, and lecturer. She was the first deaf-blind person to earn a bachelor of arts degree. Helen Keller was born June 27, 1880 in Tuscumbia. She died June 01, 1968. In 1882 she was stricken by an illness that left her blind and deaf. Helen Keller had teachers who helped her with her illness. As she grew up she wrote two books and was also in a movie. In her lifetime she raised 2million dollars for the American Foundation for the Blind. She is the most famous blind, deaf , and dumb person to live in lifetime. She proved that deaf , dumb , and blind people can learn too. It doesn't matter what you have you can be helped either way! She gave many speeches . She helped raise money for many organizations. She visited 39 countries on 5 different continents before she died . Helen Adams Keller became a good leader, once she saw the potential in her own self Because she was a person who became blind and deaf at a young age and didn't know how to speak until she was in her teens (I think) .She went to college and succeeded as the first deaf blind person ever to graduate, Born in 1880, she lived until 1968. She was in films and even wrote books. Helen Keller is famous because she was The first blind & deaf woman to learn how to speak. She was a writer , And she also founded the Keller World Crusade. That showed people that you can achieve all of those things while deaf and blind you just cant give
